Hello families! We have had a blast enjoying all of the Catholic Schools Week activities! Please see below for next week's centers. Reminder: Next Wednesday, 2/5 is a half day for teacher professional development. Students will be dismissed between 11:15-11:30 and will need only a snack unless signed up for Extended Day. Painting Clay Sculptures: Investigates and describes various materials. Creates three-dimensional artwork. Explores with wet media. Asks and answers questions and gives directions. Spray Painting (ART): Performs fine-motor tasks that require small muscle strength and control. Explores wet media. Contributes to a classroom community. Transferring Water with Plastic Hoses (WATER): Talks about understanding of processes. Asks questions about materials, objects, and events in the environment. Interacts appropriately with other children by cooperating, helping, sharing, and showing interest. "Snowy Day" Inspired Artwork (ART): Makes connections to text. Creates meaningful artwork. I hope you enjoyed the holidays and time off - we were all very excited to get back to school after our break! Next week, we will be starting Unit 3 of OWL - Wind & Water. Uses appropriate positional terms to describe where things are in space. Builds finger dexterity and uses thumb/forefinger pincer grasp.
