Hello families! We will be taking a break from OWL next week to celebrate Halloween. We will be reading Halloween stories and working on Halloween themed centers and projects. Please see below for next week's centers and important information regarding our celebration on Thursday, 10/31. Centers: Playdoh Monsters Ghost Windsocks Creepy Crawlers in Sand Candy Corn Artwork We will be celebrating Halloween during the day on Thursday, 10/31. Please send your child to school in their costume (they will not need a uniform or change of clothes). Do not send in accessories (wands, masks, costume shoes) - we do not want anything to get lost! Our party will be held at snack time. Students will only need a lunch. Thank you to our room reps and parent volunteers for organizing! We will be participating in the school costume parade. The parade will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday. Students will parade along Broadway (O Street to N Street) with the whole school for all to see! Parents are invited to line the route. Asks questions about materials .Supports dramatic play. Paper Pumpkins (ART): Builds finger dexterity and fine motor skills. Creates original artwork and contributes to classroom. Shares opinions and ideas about personal creative artwork. Religion: "I Have Two Feet" OWL Stories- "Whistle for Willie" by Ezra Jack Keats "Corduroy" by Don Freeman Reminders: -Tuesday, 10/21 is a tag day for breast cancer awareness. Student council will be selling pink ribbons for $1 on Tuesday. All proceeds go to the Ellie Fund. - K0 is NUT FREE effective 10/21. -Please send your child with the utensils they will need for lunch/snack.
