Hope you are doing well. Below, please find the centers and songs for this week. Please continue to share your photos and activities with me! Looking at floating object's reflections (SAND & WATER): Observes and explores materials, objects, or events in the environment. Uses language to discuss, record, or describe observations. Cloud paintings (ART EASEL): Explores and experiments with wet media to create two-dimensional artwork. Explores and experiments with basic shapes and lines in artwork. Creates artwork in relation to the book, The Puddle Pail. Exploring glittery finger paint (ART): Creates original artwork to express thoughts, feelings, and energy. Explores and experiments with how color can convey mood and emotion. Builds finger dexterity. Reflective blocks (BLOCKS): Explores reflective surfaces and their properties. Interacts with others appropriately by cooperating, helping, and sharing. Explores spatial relationships. Elizabeth made shadows with her hands and Luke got his hands messy by writing his name in shaving cream! Logan worked hard to string together a cool Olaf necklace. We are starting Unit 5 of OWL: Shadows & Reflections. Be sure to look for some different shadows and reflections around your house or outside on walks! You will find our weekly centers from our OWL curriculum below for this week. These are the centers that we would be working on in school. They can be easily modified to be used at home. I will include any necessary supplies, preparation, and suggested vocabulary to use with your child when working together in centers.
