Happy New Year! I hope that you all enjoyed your holidays and some time off. When we return to school, we will be starting OWL Unit 3: Wind & Water. Please see below for next week's centers. -Sailboats (WATER): Explores what air is and what air does. Uses language to discuss and describe observations. Interacts appropriately with other children by cooperating, helping, sharing, and expressing interest. -Winter Paintings (ART): Creates two dimensional artwork. Explores wet media. Creates artwork with a purpose. -Building with Blocks (BLOCKS): Practices balance and control. Builds finger dexterity. Describes the physical properties of objects. Practices spatial awareness. Asks questions about materials .Supports dramatic play. -Tangram Blocks (FINE MOTOR/MATH): Names and recognizes shapes. Begins to understand spatial relationships.
